BIG BOI is a completely custom, one-off modified fuzz face, hand-wired with NOS vintage components on our KT eyelet board. It uses a set of vintage black glass OC45 germanium transistors alongside all other vintage components and is housed in an authentic Dunlop Fuzz Face enclosure.

One of the most prominent modifications made is the addition of an external bias knob in place of the gain knob. The gain has now been set at max with a fixed internal resistor and the bias controls now unlock a broad range of tones from searing overdrive all the way to classic saturated, gated fuzz goodness.

The overall tone of the OC45 is a bit brighter than most germanium transistors while the gain is comparable to typical AC125/128's you would see in the same era. This allows for cutting through the mix a bit more, as well as a brilliant clean tone upon rollback on your guitar's volume knob.

I added a power jack and internal inverter so this one plays nice with all center negative power supplies, battery option included too. Cloth wired input and outputs. I also wired this with a softer touch 3PDT and true-bypass wiring to allow for LED option to be added at customer's request.
