COLD WAR FUZZ
I’m definitely not the first to repurpose these vintage V-750 dosimeter chargers as enclosures, but I wanted to take things a step further.
The V-750 is a small battery-driven circuit used to calibrate radiation detecting dosimeters worn in the field. What most people don’t know is that these charging circuits contain General Electric manufactured germanium transistors which are perfect for use in fuzz circuits. My goal was to repurpose as much of the original charger as possible, from the transistors to the original knobs, even the charging light cap, which conveniently has the same threading as a standard 3PDT footswitch. Limited run of 6 units.
