The Deluxe is our flagship fuzz, based around a modified Fuzz Face topography. Each variant we offer uses hand-selected sets of new old stock vintage germanium transistors to ensure a great-sounding fuzz no matter the flavor.
Standard features for all of our three-knob Deluxe Fuzzes:
Bias controls for both transistors, Q1 internal Piher trimmer, Q2 external knob
All NOS components build on custom eyelet board
Built-in inverter circuit to allow use with standard 9V center negative Boss style power supplies, NPN negative ground type transistors also available for custom orders
Isolated LED indicator circuit
True Bypass wiring

Every transistor produces vivid changes in the overall sound which makes the possibilities in voicing and attack almost endless. It’s easiest to break each transistor type down by model:
AC FUZZ - AC128 or AC125 silver can transistors, medium-high gain w/ smooth, warm response and great clean up

2N508 FUZZ - A shop favorite, 2N508 silver cans circa late 1970’s, medium to high gain, full-bodied, can be a bit of hair on rollback with higher gains, similar sound profile as higher gain NKT275’s
2N43A FUZZ - Low gain, even response, glassy cleanup, quantities limited
WARSAW - Polish ASY37’s, medium-high gain, pronounced low end, full sound w/ a bit of hair on rollback
KRAKOW - Polish ASY33/36’s, medium gain, smooth response, great clean up
POZNAN - Polish TEWA TG5S’s - medium to high gain, even response, good cleanup
HYTRON - Rare CBS Hytron 2N339/440’s, low to medium gain, beautiful warm tones, excellent cleanup
TI FUZZ - Texas Instruments 2N404’s, medium gain, warm low-end response with brilliant cleanup
